How much do your custom and wedding cakes cost?
Due to the unique nature of our custom and wedding cakes, there is really no set price for a specific cake. Several factors will be considered in determining your total price. First your base price will be calculated by multiplying the number of servings of cake times the price per serving for the flavor you select. Some items such as dummy tiers of cake or details may be additional, and are priced out per item separately. While we will always try to accommodate pricing requests in store or via email, it is best to schedule an appointment for a consultation. This allows us to factor in as many of these details as possible to provide you with a more accurate quote. Please refer to the pricing on our website.

How do I schedule a tasting?
We offer two complimentary tastings. The first is an open house, which is held on the first Saturday of every month. Current dates are on the open house link. Come by and try cake, have some coffee and look through our books. We are available to answer brief questions and give you a basic estimate. Once you have decided to place your deposit to hold the date of your event, you will come in for a final meeting. The final meeting is very important and we recommend scheduling at least 8 weeks prior to your event date. At the final meeting you will taste cake again, and may request up to 4 more flavors. We will go over all of the details of your cake. This meeting usually takes an hour.

(Saturday appointments are reserved for final meetings). The tasting boards include nine different flavors and can feed 4 people. The cost of the tasting board is $14.99 plus tax. Tasting boards must be prepaid before you arrive. At this meeting, we will go over all of your options on design, flavors and costs. Please arrive on time as meetings are scheduled on the hour. Can you match the cake to the colors I am using?
For color matching we ask that you provide a swatch of the shade you would like. We will do our best to match the color to within 3 shades. With edible products and food grade dyes exact matches are sometimes difficult to achieve. Also be advised that dark colors will sometimes taste a little bitter, or stain. Please ask your consultant about matching color, or alternate ways to incorporate color into your design. We do not color match on our signature cakes.

Do you deliver and what is your delivery charge?
Yes, we offer delivery for our custom and wedding cakes with prices starting at $75 within a 25 mile radius, $100 within 35 miles, and $125 within 45 miles. Please contact us for pricing beyond a 45 mile radius from our shop, and we can give you a quote based on the mileage and time.

How should I transport my cake if I am not having it delivered?
The best way to self transport any cake is on a flat surface in the vehicle. The floorboard, or cargo area of an SUV or van are great places for your cake. You will want to make sure you avoid any sharp turns or sudden stops, and the most important thing is keep your vehicle cool. Never stop to run an errand for any length of time in warm weather, as your car will be hot and icing may melt. We are not responsible for cakes once they have left our shop, and all cakes should be refrigerated until close to serving time, and leftovers returned to refrigeration.

What is the process for ordering a wedding cake?
For wedding cakes we suggest starting your process once you have booked your venue. For your first step we have Open House events the first Saturday of every month (except for January and July). This is a come and go, free event we host for our brides who are just getting started. We prepare a variety of cake flavors for this event, and you are welcome to come in and sample at no charge. We will also be happy to answer your general information questions, and we can try to provide you with ballpark pricing, however due to the unpredictable nature of these events we are unable to conduct formal meetings on these days. Please call us if you have any additional questions about this fun event! There is no cost to participate, and no registration is necessary.
Another option for your first step would be a one on one appointment. We can schedule a time to meet with you and go over all your options, and a sample board of our cakes will be available for purchase for $14.99. We take appointments for “first-time” brides Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. We do reserve our Saturday appointments for our brides who are finalizing with us since those appointments are generally closer to the date of the event. Please call us for scheduling and availability.
To reserve a date there is a non-refundable $200 deposit that will go toward the purchase of your cake. You can save the date at anytime once you are certain that you would like us to make your cake. You do not have to know all the specifics about design, flavor, etc., since you will still be able to change any of these details up to two weeks before the event date. To save the date we accept cash, check, or credit in store, check by mail, or credit by phone. Please be sure to include your name, event date, phone number, and venue when reserving your date.
After saving the date, there may be a gap in time where you don’t have to focus much on your cake. This is fine. We usually like to get our brides back in for final appointments about 6 weeks prior to your event. Your final payment will not be due until two weeks prior to your event. We also ask that by your two week deadline you have any non-edible materials we are going to use on the cake that you provide (ribbon, rhinestones, etc.) and all your final changes in to us.
***No changes will be accepted after the two week deadline and it is the clients responsibility to check the online contract and confirm all the details***
